Foundation after-school activities
After-school activities are organised so that children can participate in, outside of the traditional school day.
They also help children develop social skills away from the structure of the classroom.
Every Thursday, the children are divided into groups.
Each group has a selection of children from different classes.
The activities offered are: fitness, Zumba, Yoga, Art, Origami, Etiquette, athletics, Book club, English & Arabic Drama and choir (French, Arabic).
Each group will rotate on these different activities throughout the year.
The school year is divided into 3 rounds; each round will have different topics.
The skills acquired through these activities are tremendous; children get to interact with other schoolmates who don’t share the same class.
They also rotate on so many activities and get a chance to later on discover what they will like to do in the following years.
Children get to understand that each group has a number & they learn that every week, on a certain time, they will gather with other schoolmates in a special group having this number.
Each group is led by 2 teachers who are not necessarily teaching everyone in their group; this offers a chance for both teachers & children to get more acquainted in a different setting other than the class.
